Community Work
Ways We Minister to our Community
Agincourt Pentecostal Church and Toronto Community Churches cares deeply about the communities it is surrounded by. There are many needs, beyond the spiritual, that we seek to help meet to show people that God indeed loves them and He is intensely interested in their well-being.
Reaching out to children
Currently, we bus in approximately 35 to 50 children from five different communities: Glendower, Victoria Park, Bay Mills, Chester Le, and Sparroway – to attend our Saturday Night children’s program. In January, we will be adding another community to our buses: the high-rise community of five buildings called Aurora Court, in Scarborough. This past summer we provided Camp@Playground in three different Metro Housing Communities which included Sparroway, Chester Le and Glendower. We reached approximately 125 to 150 children with these programs.
One other outreach is Camp Echo (Every Child Has Opportunity) where we take kids who have never been to overnight camp and they get to go for free! Every year we send about 25 children to Lakeshore Pentecostal Camp We supply a sleeping bag, pillow and toiletries, as well as transportation.
