Missions Weekend Services

Saturday, April 20 at 6 pm
Sunday, April 21 at 9 & 11 am

There is so much to celebrate!  At APC, we have the pleasure of standing Side By Side with 58 missionaries in Canada and around the world.  Join us April 20/21 as we celebrate the ministries of our monthly supported missionaries plus the results of our Fall 2012 Missions Convention projects.

Ilya Banseev // our special guest speakerBantseevs

It's best to let Ilya describe what their experience was like when they were first on the missionfield:

The spiritual climate of Siberia is much like the physical climate in this region of the world—cold, dark, and often hostile. As we shared the gospel of Jesus Christ on frozen street corners, storms of discouragement, exhaustion, and fear came against us in great force. Within our first six weeks on the field, our firstborn son, Joshua, became deathly ill after drinking contaminated well water. We were also robbed of all our belongings, we were literally hit by a car as we were walking outside, and Janet contracted pneumonia in both lungs. However, God encouraged us with souls being saved. One by one we saw people coming to the Lord. We never saw a great “revival,” but a steady growth of people turning to Christ. They were dependent on us for spiritual food as a child is dependent on his parents. We knew we could never leave them in this new stage of their lives, despite the difficulties, and it was our joy to help them grow in Christ. Even though later we were ostracized, rejected by local government, and my (Ilya’s) life had been threatened numerous times, our greatest encouragement was to see these new believers grow in Christ.

The Bantseevs are part of our APC Family of Missionaries – missionaries that we financially support every month. They serve in the city Novokuznetsk, Russia as PAOC missionaries. It is a city of 600,000 people. Their congregation ministers in prisons, orphanages, and to people with life controlling problems or addictions. They also organize various ministry and missionary teams to plant churches throughout Siberia and share the gospel with professional groups such as doctors, athletes, government officials and police.

You will be challenged and excited by their story. Don't miss it!
